HOPE Christian Ministries began as a prayer ministry on January 4, 2003  in Richmond, Virginia.  Monthly prayer meetings were held at the  Courtyard by Marriott on Saturdays at 12 Noon.  As time went on, these prayer meetings led into full Fresh Oil  Worship Services.  Soon, chairs were full with people listening to the revelatory  Word of God spoken by Pastor Vereen.

It was on January 4, 2004 that the church held its first official church  service.  The ministry began growing by leaps and bounds and required a larger  facility.

After continued  growth, on October 24, 2004, the church moved to West Hampton United Methodist  Church on Patterson Avenue in Richmond.  HOPE Christian Ministries continued to grow with every Kingdom building  assignment, while worship services were full with those waiting to hear from the  Lord .

Today hundreds of people have experienced HOPE Christian Ministries, in our current edifice, located at 5300 West  Marshall Street. God is at work at  HOPE.  We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to go after God with passion!

HOPE Christian Ministries is located in the Richmond Metropolitan area and is called to  reach the 1.3 million people with the love of Jesus Christ.  HOPE exist to help people discover their redemptive purpose intended by God through  four core steps:

• Bring Then In: Introduction to the Kingdom and the Church (Membership)
• Build Them Up: Helping every member discover their purposeful design
• Teach Them How: Empowering believers to lead according to their personal leadership
• Send Them Out:  Using their God-given gift to make a difference in the lives of others.
